DastakDastak Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Abdul Rehman ("we", "us") for the use of the Dastak app and service. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Dastak.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. You may hold one account and pair it with exactly one partner at a time.
What Dastak is
Dastak is an end-to-end-encrypted private line for two people: knocks, chat, calls, moods and statuses, a daily question, location sharing and small shared rituals. We provide the app and the servers that carry encrypted data between the two of you. We cannot read that data and do not moderate its content.
Your account
You are responsible for your sign-in email and your phone. Keep your phone locked; anyone with access to your unlocked phone can read your conversation. If you lose your phone, delete your account from a new sign-in or write to us.
Acceptable use
Dastak is for two consenting adults. You agree not to use it to harass, threaten, stalk or coerce anyone, including your partner; to share content that is illegal where you or your partner live; to impersonate anyone; to interfere with the service or other users; or to try to break the encryption or the servers. The Acceptable Use Policy, available in the app, is part of these terms. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules.
Location sharing
Location sharing is voluntary and visible. Never pressure your partner to share, and never use Dastak to track someone who has not agreed. Doing so may be illegal and is grounds for termination.
Subscription
Dastak is a paid service. Using it requires an active subscription, bought through Google Play as a monthly or a yearly plan. One subscription covers both partners: the person who subscribes invites the other with a code, and the invited partner does not pay. Prices, billing periods and renewal terms are shown in the app and on Google Play before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time in the Google Play Store under Subscriptions, and access continues until the end of the period already paid. Purchases, billing and refunds are handled by Google Play under its own terms and refund policy. If the subscription ends, both partners lose access until one of them subscribes again; your data on the phones stays encrypted and is not deleted by us. A build marked "founders" is for the developer's own testing and has everything enabled without payment.
Your content
Your content is yours. Because it is end-to-end encrypted we have no access to it and claim no rights over it. You are responsible for what you send; you confirm you have the right to share it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Dastak available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update the app; keep it updated to continue using it. We may update these terms; the app will show the new version and the date above will change.
Termination
You may stop at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where the law requires it. On termination your account and server-side data are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer and liability
Dastak is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, or any amount exceeding what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Applicable law
Dastak is offered worldwide and these terms apply wherever you use it. Nothing in them takes away rights you have under the consumer-protection law of the country where you live. If we ever disagree, write to us first; most things are solved that way. Any dispute that cannot be solved is handled under the law, and by the courts, of your place of residence.
