Dastak Acceptable Use Policy
Dastak exists for two adults who choose to be close at a distance. Because every message is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot and do not read what you send — which is exactly why we ask you to agree to these simple rules.
Do
- Use Dastak with one partner who has agreed to pair with you.
- Treat location sharing as a gift that is given freely and can be withdrawn at any moment.
- Compare your safety number in person if you ever doubt the connection.
- Report abuse, safety concerns or security findings to support@dastak.app.
Don't
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk or coerce anyone, including your partner.
- Pressure or trick your partner into sharing a location, a photo or anything else.
- Send content that is illegal where either of you lives, including sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities without exception.
- Impersonate another person or pair with someone using a false identity.
- Use Dastak with anyone under 18.
- Attempt to break, probe or overload the service, the encryption or another user's device.
- Resell, automate or scrape the service.
Enforcement
We cannot see content, but we can act on reports, on metadata patterns that indicate abuse (for example floods of knocks or messages) and on legal requests. Violations may lead to warnings, suspension or deletion of the account, and where required, referral to law enforcement.
Safety
If you are in danger, contact local emergency services first. Dastak's "Unpair" and "Delete account" controls work immediately and from either phone.
